Right now I’m taking a walk through the neighborood with Ava. We just passed a house with a campaign sign in the yard. However it looks like they’re conflicted about their choice for President. They have McCain signs with McCain’s name cut out leaving simply, “Palin.” Nice.
Too bad you can’t cut and paste in the voting booth. Back to my walk.

I have thought that way myself. However, that little voice “inside me” says…you are very cold and heartless to want McCain to get elected…then have Palin in charge. (left over attitudes from “feminism” still linger). For the most part, I am a “Republica at Heart”…my parents voted democrat (dad was born in “28″ mom in “32″ but in their later years they voted republican). What I admire about McCain is that he has persevered during the decades that I grew up in. 60’s, 70’s…and beyond. My husband does most the research for us as far as the issues currently affecting America now, and those that will affect the future of our children and their peers. I want someone who remembers what it was like to “fight for this country”, my homeland. I believe McCain is the right man for the job.

Hmmmmm. I wish we could cut and paste too! But I agree with Marie, I want my Country back. During the Republican convention I thougtht “if I was there what kind of sign would I be holding? Would my sign say Women for McCain? Basketball Mom’s for Palin? hmmmm, when I searched my heart I knew that all I wanted my sign to say was “I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!”
